today, for one day only, i became an avid biker fan.and i am not talking about hells angels.
i am talking about the tour of california!
married friend and husband invited me along to watch lance armstrong and many others race 88 miles through south pasadena in the 7th stage of an 8 stage tour.
who knew that watching strong men, pedaling on tiny bikes could be so exciting?
the happy couple in front of the finish line hours before we would see anyone cross it.
instead of watching the race, we took pictures.

i might just have to settle for watching lance take the tour de france for the 8th time this summer.

the view we usually saw. they were going so fast!
the entire experience misled me into thinking i might be able to go home and jump on my bike, perhaps entering myself in a race sometime in the future.
but then i realized i only have a beach cruiser.

SO i was totally into it and David is buying me a real bike. I mean the beach cruiser is an amazing statement, but I am buying a ride- able one...more to come
