summer nights

this summer is shaping up to be quite out of control.
between graduations, weddings and birthdays, the next month is far from the relaxing summer visions i dreamed about while in california.

however, i wouldnt have it any other way.
some of my most favorite summer memories are the ones that are squeezed in; bbq's on the back deck, runs to starbucks, late night movies at the rio and visits to the water.

in my little summer spare time, i am looking forward to:
watching all 8 hours of band of brothers
trying a few summer recipes from here
soaking up the green foliage of the oak, cedar and elm
catching up on my shameless tv, the bachelorette, glee and the office
finding girlfriends in potomac, bethesda and tysons
sleeping in on my big white bed in my green room

oh summer.

i can smell it in the air. there is promise of cruising with the windows down, screaming outdoor concerts and bowls of ice cream.

now that you are here, i dont ever want you to leave.
