a lovely girl that i know, sent me two of the three today.
a scary skull cookie
and
a wonderful harvest scented candle.
the pumpkin i already had. given to me by the generous mother who knows how much i am missing the fall.

as soon as i got back to the room, i ate the cookie and put fire on the candle.

yesterday was the most glorious day that an east-coast-girl-stuck-in-california could ask for.
windy, huge gray clouds, threats of rain, palm trees blowing around, hot drink handy, chilly.

i actually pulled out the sweater dress and wore it.
could it be, almost fall?

no.
tomorrow is a high of 85.
simply wishful thinking.

i will just have to live through big sister who goes apple picking in upstate.
the pictures below are just the loveliest thing ever.
i only wish i could have been there too.
