finding nemo

this weekend the santa ana winds decided to pay the valley a visit.

and as miles says in the holiday, legend has it, when the santa anas blow, anything can happen.

and indeed it can.

visited the long beach aqaurium today.

where i:

figured out the tropical reef of palau has the most exotic colorful fish, therefore guess what just became my new dream destination?

remembered why i am so terrified and yet fascinated with sharks.

performed the two finger touch on several sting rays and bamboo sharks.

ran into fish with names like, sexy shrimp, moon jellies and mexican lookdown...

could i even make these up?there is something so wonderfully dreamy and calming about an aquarium. i liked navigating the frantic stroller moms and absent minded dads to set my own pace through the dark maze of tanks.

coming out into the sunlight after several hours under the sea is quite the adjustment.

thank goodness the anas were there to carry me away.
