tonight, as i reflect, i am most thankful for the small nuances that make up my day.
red whistling teapot calling with morning tea as i place my feet on the cold tiled floor.
quiet 30 minute drive from home to work where i anticipate and observe the density of haze on the mountains.
tiny hands grabbing my legs as we cross the street.
crackling woodwick fraiser fir candle leaving my room smelling like christmas.
front door goodbyes to friends in the dark. one last hug under the light.
all this and so much more.
i am thankful for the little things that make california home.
