Yesterday, C Jane wrote a really good post about 1) politics in Utah, 2) texting, 3) calling your Mom, and 4) taking care of your sister. And, while I found myself a bit removed from politics in Utah, I could certainly identify with all the rest.
C Jane made me grateful all over again for my Mom and my Sister. You know what is great about moms and sisters? They will tell you about the piece of food stuck in your teeth. They will remind you that you're better off without him. They will let you borrow their expensive perfumes, or the new sweater they just bought from H&M, or even their mascara (if absolutely necessary). They will laugh along with everyone else when you share a joke they've already heard you say a dozen times. In short, they will text you, and call you, and take care of you, and they will BE THERE, even when you say, "I'm fine" in that wimpy little voice. They know better. They always do.
...that is what is so great about moms and sisters.
