"Joy is always a function of gratitude--and gratitude is always a function of perspective. If we are going to change our lives, what we're going to have to change is the way we see."

I've been counting the gifts all through January. Gifts of grace. Gifts of gratitude. Thought you might like to hear a couple (as I count my way to 1,000!)...
-for winter trees
-roasted cream of tomato soup
-a borrowed book from a friend
-Southern Caviar (oh, yes, Jamie--it's still a hit!)
-for mercy
-snow in the car's headlights
-a friend's prayers from blustery St. Charles
-the backyard: deer-inhabited
-clarifying conversation
-strangers' dogs
-a Middleburg afternoon with friends
-sleep protection
-a body that works
-God: always on His throne

Love this! I read her book last year, and have been doing the same thing this year:) So hilarious, because I mentioned her in my last blog post too! Gratitude is contagious, love it, thanks for sharing:)
