It is only just past mid-January and already 2010 feels so full, both on a personal and global level, of circumstances. "What will this year hold?" I keep wondering. What will the rest of the year look like for the people of Haiti as they rebuild lives, buildings, their economy. What will the rest of this year look like for my parents? for my roommates? for my siblings? for friends, near and far? for me?
I find myself resting in the encouragement from my friend, Rachel, "May we hope for the Lord (Psalm 33:20), wait for the Lord (Psalm 27:13-14), and trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6) this new year!"
Hoping.
Waiting.
Trusting.
What beautiful words for 2010.
