in celebration of this halloween weekend, i am fleeing the city and heading to the mountains.
a friend and i are taking in the silence of spruce trees and navigating tiny paths up steep hills.
and come sunday when i come leave the mountain, my prayer is that i will have rested.
whatever rest looks like, i pray that i will know it.
