Tomorrow night the second part of the "Cities of Love" franchise, which explores love in urban settings, comes to the Big Apple. A few weeks ago amNewYork's Robert Levin interviewed producer Emmanuel Benbihy about the series that began with Paris, Je T'Aime.
"What is it about New York that lends itself to the big screen? It's beautiful, impressive, mythic. Everything can happen. People dream about New York. The first time there is a magical and you can feel you belong there very quickly, at least for a while."
The film includes vignettes from 11 directors. Each short film is set in a different New York City neighborhood. New York, I Love You opens tomorrow, October 16, 2009.
The promise of modern love in an exciting city? Count me in!
