from my arrival at 8 in the morning, to younger brother getting time off from the academy, to the 30th anniversary party, the parents were a little unsure of what hit them this weekend.
the 6 of us had been planning a little get together for their anniversary since this summer.
and by get together i mean, a surprise party with their closest friends.
though our ambition was great, we suspected the mother might discover the plan before it reached completion.
and does this face have surprise written all over it or what?success!
we all caught up on each others lives, cut the cake and boogied to a little chicago.
the next morning, we heard that the parents stayed up until 2 in the morning discussing the evening. this coming from people who are in bed before midnight.
what a most wonderful evening.and now we can all rest and not talk about anything involving the future except what christmas presents to exchange.
